Types of Psychic Readings: Dream Interpretation

There are many different types of psychic readings. When you ask for a reading that interprets dreams, you open up a whole new world of understanding. The first thing that your reader will do is to explain why we have dreams. Dreamtime is the gateway between our conscious and our unconscious worlds. Our waking mind often acts as a block to information coming through from our unconscious self. When we can quiet the waking mind, as it is in dreamtime, we have the freedom to move into other realms of time and space without trying to understand how or why this is happening.

The images and symbols that appear in our dreams, as well as the people, buildings, environment, and colors, all have something to tell us. And as many books and articles that are out there on what symbols mean within a dream, you need to remember that this type of imagery draws on your own life experiences, which makes it individual to you. While I may be afraid of fire, you may see fire as warm and nurturing. This would make a huge difference in how we see fire within the context of dreamtime.

Many times our dreams act to resolve issues that we are facing in our waking hours. Your psychic reading can help you determine just what your dream is addressing, and whether it is doing so in a straightforward manner, or whether it is a symbolic dream. It can be disconcerting to have a past boyfriend or girlfriend come into dreamtime. Does this mean they are going to try to come back into our life, or does it mean that they are representative of a quality (such as compassion) that may be missing from our current relationship? Your psychic reading will help you to define each fo the different segments within your dream.

An added bonus is that not only can your psychic reading help you to understand dreams that are coming to you unbidden, but your reader will work with you to find a method that you are comfortable with that will allow you to work with your dreams, to ask for specific information, or to ask specific people to come into dreamtime and speak with you.

The tool of dreamtime is one of the greatest tools of personal empowerment at your disposal, and your psychic reading can help you make the most of it.

Dream Interpretation

What do our dreams mean? What purpose do they serve? Our dreams are an important link between our conscious self and our unconscious self. In dreamtime the conscious self is set aside, and we can access the universal wisdom of our subconscious. It is here that we work out solutions to the problems/issues that we are facing during waking hours.

The images and symbols that appear in our dreams come from our waking life, and are unique to each of us (as is our response to these images and symbols). They come from our experiences, and the emotions that we attach to those experiences. Fire may terrify you, but it might mean warmth in a cold night to me, or stories told around a camp fire to someone else.

Our dreams are meant to give us insight into ourselves. Your psychic reading is meant to act as a guide to help you identify what your dream symbols mean to you, from what part of your life they are coming from, and what, if any, actions you should take in response to your dream.

Have you ever dreamt that you were falling? If you are falling in your dream, there is something in your waking life that is making you feel insecure, or anxious. Somewhere in your life you are feeling things are totally out of your control. A falling dream can also indicate feelings of failure.

Have you ever dreamt that you were flying? Flying dreams generally indicate that you feel in control of your life, and that things are going well. Flying dreams can also occur when you have had insight into an issue, and see it in a different manner.

Recurring dreams will retain the theme of the dream, while the individual aspects of the dream may change. What you need to know here is that the dream is asking you to pay attention to it. I had such a recurring dream from as early as I can remember until my mid-twenties. I don’t remember a conscious resolution, but it has not recurred since that time.

Healing dreams should be taken as messages that we need to take care of some area of our physical health. They are gentle nudges from our bodies to take care of  ourselves.

Do you want to remember your dreams on a more consistent basis? Before you go to sleep, place the intention out to universe that when you wake up, you will remember your dreams. Dreams are powerful tools of empowerment – learn to work with yours!

Dreamtime

What purpose do our dreams serve? Do you wake up confused? Do you wake up scared? Have you had the same dream, or the same type of dream, on a recurring basis? Why is this happening, and what control do you have over it?

The first thing that we need to remember is that our dreams are the gateway between our conscious thoughts and out unconscious thoughts. They can bring us solutions to problems using information that we know only on an unconscious, or subconscious level. Our dreams act to bring balance to body, mind, and spirit, and to help us heal ourselves.

Our dreams reflect the concerns and stresses of our daytime life - in other words, they reflect what is going on in our life. It is not unusual for people or places from our daytime lives to come into our dreams. Sometimes they represent themselves, sometimes they are symbolic of something, or someone, else in your life. Dreams that are repetitious are indicating that there is some area of our life that has not been resolved, that there is something in our lives that we have not been willing to confront.

In case you think that you are not dreaming, you more than likely are! What is happening is that you are not remembering the dreams. You can ask, just before you go to sleep, to remember your dreams, and you will. Note: During times of high stress it may be difficult to remember your dreams, even when you want to.

Each individual's dreams are interpreted through their own life experiences. Your psychic reading will help you to determine if your dream is real (i.e. everything and everybody in the dream is exactly what or who they are), or symbolic (one or more of the elements of the dream represents something or someone else in the dreamers life). You will focus on what the dream means to you, and why it came to you - what the lesson is, and what actions you are to take to bring about resolution.
